Site visit, Monday 7 September - Elkem
The Elkem site in Kristiansand, is one of the historic centers of Norway’s metallurgical industry. Since the invention of the Søderberg electrode here in 1919, Fiskaa has combined industrial production with strong research and innovation.
Today, the Elkem Carbon uses renewable hydropower to produce high‑quality carbon products with a clear focus on emission control, energy recovery, and PAH‑free solutions.
Side by side with the carbon plant is Elkem Technology's R&I centre, home to more than 10,000 square metres of pilot facilities, laboratories and workshops. This close integration of industry and research continues to drive innovation and improvements in silicon alloys and carbon technologies for the future.
Due to popular demand, we will be allowing up to two people per company to register for the site visits, subject to availability. Get your name on the list now - register today
