Join the #1 networking event for the silicon community

We were delighted to be returning to Norway for the 16th CRU Silicon Market Forum from 7-10 September 2026 in Kristiansand with Elkem as our Host Sponsor. This is the essential annual meeting for the silicon industry to connect, exchange ideas, and do business with key producers, consumers, suppliers, and traders of silicon metal, polysilicon and silicones. This year the event will be run in association with the NTNU, and there will be a guided tour of the Elkem Carbon Fiskaa facilities.

The CRU Silicon Forum explores the challenges facing the industry and its stakeholders, and provide in-depth, strategic discussions with experts and analysis of the factors that will shape the future of the silicon metal market. The potential for future consumption growth in different segments of the market will be assessed as will likely changes in supply in view of cost, environmental, and trade considerations.

Ahead of the meeting, CRU's Sabina Lu, Silicon Lead commented:

"Global silicon metal demand saw persistent weakness at the start of 2026, with polysilicon-related consumption remaining suppressed relative to its 2024 peak. Other end-use sectors showed mixed demand patterns yet remained subdued on a global scale.

Amid depressed demand conditions, we continue to see silicon metal production curtailments across most regions. Meanwhile, trade measures are gradually reshaping industry dynamics, with growing impacts on business decision-making."

This is the ideal opportunity to help you to understand the market conditions, and to make better-informed business decisions.
